SPECIAL ANNOUNCMENT

This is to announce that our Youth and Children's worker, Capt Andy Settle, is to move to a new post in                Weston Super Mare from 1/11/08

As far as Charis is concerned all the projects will continue as follows:

SCHOOLS WORK All the schools work in the nine primary schools across Marple and Marple Bridge will now be under the supervision of Mr P. Alston who is the full time children's worker at All Saint's Church, He can be contacted via the All Saint's Church Office 0161 427 2378

KIDZKLUB Kidzklub will continue under the umbrella of the United Reformed Church and the Methodist Church on behalf of Churches Together in Marple and District.  It is to be led each week by Mrs J. Ambler and Mrs K.Turnbull assisted by the volunteer team.  They can be contacted via the Charis Charity Office on 0161 449 5370

CYCLOAN Cycloan has been passed to the Partnership of the Youth Offending Team in Stockport and Highfield School in Brinnington.  They are looking for additional volunteers and so if you could help out call Highfield School Direct on 0161 406 7922

THE COMMUNITY BUS The Bus project for the moment will continue to operate in the Hope Valley in Derbyshire on Tuesday nights during term time.

However negotiations are underway with a number of agencies that may wish to take over the running of the bus.  If you are a project reading this and would like to be considered then please get in touch via the Charity Office address or telephone 0161 449 5370.

       AND FINALLY                                   Finally the Charity will now begin the process of winding up, which will be finalised by the end of June 2009.  As a result this website in due course will cease to operate.  We will keep you up to date with developments until then.
